While the 2020 It’s A Wonderful Life Festival and It’s A Wonderful Run 5K could not be held in person due to the pandemic, we hope these memories of the past decade of events will raise your spirits in anticipation of being together again in Seneca Falls during Christmas season 2021. This special 90 minute video highlights some of the best memories of the first decade of Wonderful Runs. Merry Christmas!.
Join Us on a 5K Run/Walk Through the Beautiful, Illuminated, Historic Village of Seneca Falls, NY at Dusk
A unique start to this USATF Certified 5K Course places the field atop the famous Bridge Street Bridge which many believe was the inspiration for the bridge scenes in the holiday movie classic ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’. The run/walk will take you past the decorated Christmas Tree display, the lighted storefronts and shops of downtown Seneca Falls, and past historic village homes decked out and lit-up for the holiday season. The course concludes in the shadow of the Bridge Street Bridge in People’s Park along the Seneca Falls Canal Harbor.
Make It A Weekend!
The IAWL 5K Run/Walk is held in conjunction with the “It’s A Wonderful Life” Festival held every year in Seneca Falls, NY. Congratulations to Our 2018 Scholarship Winners
Peyton Stevers, Darren Miller, Noah Howard and Gavin Doell each received a $2,000 scholarship at graduation ceremonies in June in Seneca Falls. The scholarship is given to a graduating Mynderse Academy student who will be attending college in the fall, maintains at least an 80 GPA, participates in at least two sports, and embodies the characteristics of George Bailey of leadership both on and off the field of play behind the scenes. The three scholarships are given from proceeds received from the December “It’s A Wonderful Run 5K”. Congratulations and good luck to Peyton, Darren, Noah & Gavin!
Earlier this year the race organizers of the It’s A Wonderful Run 5K donated $5,000 to the Seneca House of Concern following the IAWR Virtual 5K held in December.
Thanks for bearing with the rain and finishing in the snow! Another great year and we appreciate your support and thank everyone in Seneca Falls.
