Let’s talk about one of our favorite topics….PARKING! Where do I park? You ask. First of all, DO NOT park on Rumsey St., Chapel St., or State St. You will get a ticket and towed, very fast. And especially don’t park at the community center. You will be blocked in for the night. If you go onto our website under the parking tab, you will see a handful of parking lots and areas around town that are all within a half a mile of the start finish line and downtown. YOUR BETTER BET, park at the Mynderse High School lot and take our shuttle into town. We will be running the shuttle back and forth from 2:00pm until 4:30 and then after the race for a few hours. The high school is about a half mile from downtown Bedford Falls so you can walk back to the high school if you stay late night. ALSO, the It’s A Wonderful Life Museum will be running shuttles all Day Saturday until 11:00pm and Sunday until 10:00PM from the high school and local hotels (Hampton, Quality inn and Microtel) to other various venues around town. Check the Festival website for times and shuttle information.
See you soon. Bring your cheer!
The It’s A Wonderful Run 5K Committee made its first donation of the season to the Seneca County House of Concern. In the photo, Chelsea Korzeniewski, Tommy Rook and Will Korzeniewski present a check for $10,000 to executive director Olan Mack. The IAWR5K has given $85,000 to the House of Concern in the 10 years the race has been held in Seneca Falls.
Join Us on a 5K Run/Walk Through the Beautiful, Illuminated, Historic Village of Seneca Falls, NY at Dusk
A unique start to this USATF Certified 5K Course places the field atop the famous Bridge Street Bridge which many believe was the inspiration for the bridge scenes in the holiday movie classic ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’. The run/walk will take you past the decorated Christmas Tree display, the lighted storefronts and shops of downtown Seneca Falls, and past historic village homes decked out and lit-up for the holiday season. The course concludes in the shadow of the Bridge Street Bridge in People’s Park along the Seneca Falls Canal Harbor.

Congratulations to Our 2018 Scholarship Winners
Peyton Stevers, Darren Miller, Noah Howard and Gavin Doell each received a $2,000 scholarship at graduation ceremonies in June in Seneca Falls. The scholarship is given to a graduating Mynderse Academy student who will be attending college in the fall, maintains at least an 80 GPA, participates in at least two sports, and embodies the characteristics of George Bailey of leadership both on and off the field of play behind the scenes. The three scholarships are given from proceeds received from the December “It’s A Wonderful Run 5K”. Congratulations and good luck to Peyton, Darren, Noah & Gavin!
